DN-UNIK AGE-DEFYING ORGANIC SKINCARE

Happy New Year, 2015! Sorry I’m a little late, I hope everyone’s year is off to a great start. So far my year has been slower than molasses. I’ve been missing in action from my blog, but that has not stopped me from keeping up with my skincare rituals. I am happy to report that my face has not been dry this winter. Keep reading for the product collection that has kept my face hydrated.

A couple of months ago I was contacted by DN-UNIK, a french made company which represents the advances in organic skin care to anyone anxious to preserve the youthful attractiveness of their skin. Not only are they french made, but ECOCERT and Cosmebio Organic Certified, Animal Free, and GMO Free.

I was stoked to own skin care made in France, which is now available throughout the United States. DN-UNIK Age-Defying Day Cream Description:

My Thoughts: I start my mornings by rinsing my face with water, followed by applying the Age-Defying Day Cream. It’s the perfect finish before applying my make-up. It’s light weight and absorbs quickly, my foundation glided on with ease and did not cling to dry patches. I am in love with the floral botanical aroma of the cream. When I first read the ingredient Parfum, I was a little concern. I emailed DN-UNIK and they were quick to respond. “It is very typical that French companies list parfum on their INCI label even though the scent is provided by essential oils. We carry the highest EcoCert and Cosmebio Organic certification available, which states that they do not allow any synthetic parfum and a bunch of other strict requirements. Every one of our labels also highlights the fact that there are no synthetic parfum used in the products.” What a sigh of relief because the smell is so refreshing and the perfect way to start my day.

My Thoughts: Like my morning routine, I also have a nightly routine. I cleanse my face from all impurities of the day, then apply the Age-Defying Night Cream creating a barrier of hydration which is light and soothing. The cream did not irritate my skin nor cause break outs. My skin was left with an even finish and glow.

My Thoughts: The Eye Contour Serum, is great for days when I lacked sleep. I saw instant relief of eye puffiness and soothing of wrinkles that have started to develop. The easy to use pump was the perfect size to glide product under the eye area without using my fingers. The serum is light weight, non greasy and did not irritate my eyes which was a huge plus! I would recommend the eye serum to anyone who struggles with puffiness or wrinkles. Age-Defying ingredients such as, Elderberry extract is key to fight the age of time.

My Thoughts: The Age-Defying Serum is to be used first before applying the night and day creams. I believe this is the secret for faster results in preventing aging. I will admit, when I was pressed for time the serum was sometimes all I used and it worked great alone. Although my skin is not quite aged, I love preventing the hands of time by hydrating my skin with the serum. The serum is derived from a Peru shrub, Extracts of Tara gum improves elasticity and firmness. Who doesn’t want to look ten years younger?

My Thoughts: I loved using the Toning Lotion on days when I did not wear make-up. The name confused me a little, I thought it was another lotion product. To my surprise, the product is a water consistency full of amazing ingredients such as Rose Water and essential oils such as Rosehip, Sweet Orange, and Lavender. My face was left refreshed and free of impurities without any dryness.  I also used the toner after I washed my make-up to remove any traces my cleanser left behind. Overall a fantastic product full of amazing ingredients!

My Thoughts: I used the moisturizing mask on days when my skin thirsts for more hydration. Texas weather can be a little bi-polar, one day warm the other cold. Weather like this can really confuse my skin and cause it to become really dry. The moisturizing mask was the perfect product to bring hydration back to my face. Shea butter is one of my favorites butters, it locks in moisture to help the skin from drying out. The product was the perfect combination for added moisture. Be aware to only use this product once or twice a week.
